Reality Check 101

Over a year ago, Rochester radio personality Bob Lonsberry offered these responses to President Biden’s speech about income inequality: 

“The Democrats are right, there are two Americas.  The America that works, land the America

 that doesn’t.  The America that contributes, and the America that doesn’t.  It’s not the haves

and the have nots, it’s the dos and the don’ts”.  “The president’s premise – that you reduce

income inequality by debasing the successful – seeks to deny the successful the consequences

  of their choices and spare the unsuccessful the consequences of their choices.” 

Lonsberry’s main point was this, quoting again:  “it is not inequality Joe Biden intends to take away, it is freedom.  The freedom to succeed and the freedom to fail.  There is no true option for success if there is no true option for failure.”  “What Biden offered was not a solution, but a separatism.  He fomented division and strife, pitted one set of Americans against another…”.  “That’s what socialists offer.  Marxist class warfare wrapped up with a bow.”

Lonsberry was spot on, but his most important point was the last one, that what America is experiencing is Marxist class warfare.  But it goes much deeper than economics.  This is more than “wokeness” or equity, it is the strategic incursion of America’s planned obsolescence.

North Korean defector Yeonmi Park experienced this firsthand when she attended Columbia University.  Park’s startling observation was that “I saw so many similarities to what I saw in North Korea … where people were categorized based on their ancestors.”  She was amazed by the anti-Western sentiments and obsessions on political correctness, so much so that says, “Even North Korea isn’t this nuts”.

A Heritage Foundation study recently released found that 55 percent of teachers in public education who were familiar with critical race theory (CRT) supported the doctrine and slightly more than that believed it should be included in civics curriculum.  Anyone even slightly familiar with CRT should realize that over half of professional educators at every grade level on fully behind teaching children and young people that the level of melanin in their skin predetermines them to systemic victimhood at the hands of their classmates and those classmates to a life of indissoluble shame.

I have no doubt that many readers will be tempted to respond that that is just some high-class university, or the Heritage Foundation is just some right-wing propaganda machine or that Lonsberry was overreacting. 

But stop long enough to think about the broader impact of these and similar developments at an unbelievably accelerated pace.  The chaos on the streets of many major cities at the hands of Black Lives Matter and ANTIFA rioters has not found its fertile ground in a vacuum.  The insane responses by leftist politicians such as the de-funding of police departments hamstringing officer’s enforcement powers would not have been tolerated at any other time in our history.

For anyone who has followed the shenanigans in Congress knows this; that our nation has never before been home to an entire Democratic Party leadership and elected officials who have been, and still are, attempting to federalize elections, attack the Second Amendment to our Constitution, and block any attempts to reign in technological suppression of the First Amendment to our Constitution.  In the past Americans would be outraged that sitting members of Congress have had intimate relationship with a Chinese spy or others openly rail against their own country in support of Hamas terrorists.

Marxist doctrine is spreading like a cancer and its tactics have never been more successful.  We are being “nudged” by incremental conquest and gathering clouds of quiet tyranny.  If you have never cared about politics or culture before, now is not the time avoid engagement.  Parents need to keep teachers and school boards accountable.  Community citizens need to show up at city council sessions and county board meetings.  And finally, state legislatures are our last line of defense against federal machinations.  Please, become part of an active free America so that a Marxist American does not ever claim victory.
